Art-LL-2 "One of the Boys" by Linda Loeschen, Western Little Cowboy trying to find his way mini print picture matted measures 8" X 10".
Linda Loeschen grew up in New Jersey and was trained at Parsons School of Design in New York City. She pursued a short career in interior design before deciding to move west for skiing and an outdoor lifestyle. It was there that she met her husband, who breeds American Quarter Horses outside of Aspen, Colorado.
An illness forced her to take time off from dancing, something she had enjoyed since the age of three. To occupy her time, she began drawing and painting the things that surrounded her and the ranching lifestyle provided plenty of subject matter. The house was full of saddles, tack, denim jackets, cowboy boots and hats hanging from deer antler racks - much of the regalia that appears in her work. And, of course, horses, cowboys and fabulous landscapes were everywhere.
Although much of her inspiration comes from right outside her front door, she also travels throughout the West to rodeos, round-ups and other events photographing the western lifestyle and gathering new ideas for her paintings.
