Rated 5 stars for value. Typically, larger versions of the 4" stars were historically used in buildings as washers with iron or steel rods extending through the building to help support the masonry. I'm using them for similar purpose in constructing wood ships ladders to access a loft. Consequently, the holes must be drilled out to accept the all-thread rods. Not a problem drilling cast iron with a drill press. Some have rust but a rotary wire brush cleaned them up easily. Finally, if appearance is a big concern then order enough to select the best ones as the castings vary in quality. Altogether exactly what I expected. I recommend them for a number of uses both functional and decorative.
